Let the dholki beats and Lohri bonfire ignite your spirit and fill your existence with benefits.
The greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals. To make our children appreciate and connect with the tradition, culture, and its roots, Children’s Academy Senior Secondary School organized a Lohri celebration on January 13, 2024, in its premises. The celebrations included burning a bonfire and dance performances like Gidda and Bhangra. Students were dressed up in traditional Punjabi dresses. They also talked about the importance of the festival by reciting prayers, songs, and poems. Various dance performances were performed by the students and teachers. The teachers and students gathered around the bonfire and offered prayers. Teachers distributed traditional Lohri treats like jaggery, peanuts, sesame seeds, and popcorn among the students. Celebrations were also conducted online for the junior classes.
On this sacred occasion, the honorable Principal of Children’s Academy Senior Secondary School, Mrs. Monika Joshi Ma’am, addressed the students and emphasized the importance of celebrating Lohri. The honorable Director of the School, Mr. Shrish Pathak Sir, appreciated the students for their beautiful performances, extended his best wishes, and motivated them to celebrate a safe Lohri.
