Eyesight is not just about seeing, it’s about truly experiencing the world around us.
A free eye check-up camp was organised at Children’s Academy Senior Secondary School, Haldwani, under the chairmanship of District Interact Representative Swati Kapri and the aegis of Drishti Eye Hospital on Sunday, 21st January.
At the camp, senior eye surgeon Dr. D.N. Pauriyal and eye specialist Dr. Sumit Kumar conducted free eye check-up for a total of 122 people. During the camp, some patients were identified for free cataract surgery under the Ayushman Card and Golden Card schemes, and their surgery dates were fixed. On this occasion, doctors also advised patients on how to keep their eyes healthy, and eye lubricating, chloramphenicol, BP testin and nefazoline drops were also distributed free of charge. The optimist Mr. Kamlesh Majila, pharmacist Mr. Ashok Singh Rana, OT technician Mr. Ganga Prasad, marketing executive Mr. Paras Raj, Rotarian Mr. G.C.S Bisht, Director of school Mr. Shrish Pathak, coordinator Mr. Navneet Chauhan, Mr. Basant Joshi, sports coach Mr. Raju Bankoti, teacher Mr. Manoj Joshi, and Interact Club members Shiva Rawat, Devesh Bhatt, Tanish Murari, Suraj Singh Bisht, Ishant Chaudashi, Rohit Singh, Manikant, Rohit Gunwant, Lucky Palariya, Namit Kapil, etc. were present at the event.
