Rangoli is an art form that originates from in the Indian subcontinent, in which patterns are designed on the floor using different colours. Rangoli has different names based on the state and culture. Rangoli holds a significant role in the everyday life of a Hindu household and it is usually drawn on the floor in Diwali and on this diwali , Children’s Academy organised a rangoli programme for students in which students made different rangolis with different colours . By drawing Rangolis students send a message to society to celebrate eco-friendly Diwali . The rangoli represents the happiness, positivity and liveliness of a household, and is intended to welcome Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and good luck.The purpose of rangoli is beyond decoration.Rangoli holds a significant role in the everyday life of a Hindu household especially historically when the flooring of houses was untitled. They are usually made outside the threshold of the main entrance.The objective of this activity is to reflect the chalk and cheese of religions, attires , languages and rites and rituals among all the states in India. It is true that in every state we get to see different Attire, Rite and Rituals, food and Languages but than to we can see Unity in diversity in India because as it is said- ” East or west , India is the best”
