Villages are the main pillars of the Country.
When the word “village” comes to our mind we imagine a lush green field and unpolluted environment , and this is the exact scenario in Indian villages. Village is only a place where peace can be felt. Village is only a place where our culture can be seen. In villages our rites and rituals are observed and followed with very pomp and circumstances. An Indian village is a perfect example where a person can live peacefully with nature. There are many advantages to live in a village -like the infinite supply of fresh air and a clean atmosphere .
Though the village lifestyle may seem soothing The Village life is full of simplicity and peace. Villages are blessed with greenery, purity of air and water. People in the villages live together with love and harmony. They are hard-working and believe in simple life instead of a luxurious one. If we talk about Pithoragarh which is called Little Kashmir because of its beauty and charm.

There were some poets who used to be addressed as peasant poets like William Wordsworth and Robert Burns. William Wordsworth has explained the life of villages and villagers very beautifully in his long narrative poem Prelude- The growth of poet’s mind. Robert Burns who is called the bard of Scotland. He has also described the beauty and charm of village in his Poem Tam O Shanter.
