A child needs education not marriage to lead a prosperous life.
Marriage is very monumental in everyone’s life. According to society people are incomplete without marriage. Some people say that people turn over a new leaf after getting married. Everyone makes dream for getting a good betterhalf in his or her life. But marriage is congruous if it is done on right time and right age. But if it is done in childhood age or below 21, it will be considerd illegal or crime. In india every year many girls lose their education, dreams and childhood in their early age because of child marriage only even many girls die because of child marriage.
Since child marraige is rampant in India, will increasing the age of marraige of women solve this issue? The increase in age of marraige is claimed to bring substantive benefits at the individual and social levels. Is this claim true? Data from the recently released National Family Health Survey -5 (NF HS-5), 2019-2021, enables us to examine the facts.
Early marriage and adverse health and educational outcomes of women and their children. Specifically studies associate early marraige of women with early lower likelihood of accessing ante-natal case, higher risks of maternal mortality, poor nutritional status of women and poor nutritional and educational outcomes of children.
Educating women is important for their personal freedom, social well being and contributes to human development. A legalistic approach to increasing the age at marriage will produce positive results only leads to an improvement in women’s education and skill acquisition for employability.
