Advertisements play a noteworthy role in our daily lives. We catch a glimpse of them in newspapers and magazines and watch them online and on television. It is while watching TV that we usually don’t like breaks because they are shown too often. In many cases, the ads may seem exasperating. But, the number of advertisements does add to our information and knowledge. It is the latest upshot in mass communication. It is used by companies to tell us about their new creations coming into the market and about their quality. Some ads apprise us about the value of the product, whether the new product or its price has changed or is for sale. Others notify us about the product itself, the design, quality, usability, exceptional price, etc. These facets persuade our decisions, and we consider and reanalyze all these factors before buying a product. Advertising initiates awareness of brands, products, services, and ideas. Therefore, it is adequate to say that ads are a source of information.
