Vasant Panchami is a festival to welcome the spring season in Indian sub-continent. Vasant means spring and Panchami means the fifth day. It is also the day when people start preparing for Holi which takes place forty days after Vasant Panchami. Vasant Panchami is also called Saraswati Puja in honor of the Hindu goddess Saraswati, it is a festival that marks the preparation for the arrival of spring. Vasant Panchami also marks the start of preparation for Holika and Holi. Vasant Panchami is a time for families to get together. Songs are heard, dance is done and kites are flown on this day Because it is also a festival that honors SARASVATI , the Hindu goddess of learning, her image is frequently displayed and worshipped. Like other festivals, it is also a day to bring happiness into our lives. On this sacred occasion of Vasant Panchami Children’s Academy Senior Secondary school celebrated Vasant Panchami with very pomp and show. On this sacred occasion a Worship (Havan) was organized where Honorable H.N.Pathak Sir who has been an advocate in High Court, honorable Director Sir, venerated Principal ma’am, Teachers and all Students were present.
Program was commenced with holy mantras by a priest. He made students understand the significance of Vasant Panchami. Kites were flown by the teachers on this occasion. At last People were dealt out ambrosia.
